Earlier this afternoon, Seven Hills Fire District responded to a woods fire on Ashton Rd

just north of Airport Blvd. This was a controlled burn, however, the fire jumped the line. Thanks to the quick and coordinated efforts of our firefighters, along with assistance from Tanner-Williams Fire District, Grand Bay Fire Rescue, Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue, and Alabama Forestry Commission, the fire was successfully contained within a few hours.
